Lizzy Bryce - The Nitty Gritty

The world calls me: Filmmaker, producer, director, writer, etc.


LIZZY BRYCE is a theatre director, writer, and filmmaker based in New York City. Her creative projects have been featured in The New York Times, Splitsider, GothamistBrokelyn, Animal NY, and more. In 2017, Lizzy was selected from over 5,000 applicants to be a finalist in The WB's Emerging Directors Program. She served a Producer/Director in UCB Comedy's Digital program and is currently a Co-Leader of the Manhattan Chapter of Filmshop, a non-profit organization supporting emerging filmmakers. In 2016, web series, SHAM, was selected as IndieWIRE's project of the day she was named by KitSplit as one of "six inspiring women to watch in film and photography." Lizzy partnered with comedian Matt Fisher (30 Rock, Late Night with Seth Myers) to form Carbonated Films, an indie production company that creates comedic video content for brands and artists. Prominent clients include Major League Soccer, Tushy Bidet, Gatherer Entertainment, and Try Anyway Productions. Her theatrical work has premiered at the Manhattan Repertory Theatre, Teatro SEA, Dixon Place, Hudson Guild Theatre, La MaMa, and The New York and DC Fringe Festivals.  This past summer, The Washington Post called her playwriting "funny, and a little too true." Lizzy is a graduate of the Pace University's Pforzheimer Honors College, majoring in Theatre Arts with a Directing focus. She currently serves as the League of Professional Theatre Women's Administrative Director.

Her web series, SHAM, was selected as IndieWIRE's project of the day and her feature screenplay, Witch Hazel, is currently touring at festivals. In 2015, Lizzy partnered with comedian Matt Fisher to form Carbonated Films, which produces comedic video content for brands and artists.
